报告摘要:

Very detailed studies of decays of B hadrons is a good ground to search for  new phenomena beyond the Standard Model of particle physics.  Potential violation of the Lepton Universality, a key SM assumption that postulates that all the properties of the electron, muon and tau leptons are identical besides their mass, is being thoroughfully searched by the  LHCb collaboration at CERN, by measuring semitauonic B decays and rare neutral-current induced reactions. We will mostly focus on the former and present the recent measurement of the D* polarization in the decay B°->D*taunu. Prospects for constraining New Physics models will be discussed.



报告人简介:

Guy Wormser is a French senior physicist working in IJCLab in Orsay. He worked in the field of experimental flavour physics for more than 30 years in various experiments : charm photoproduction (NA14), B physics at LEP (DELPHI), B factory physics in the BABAR collaboration and since 10 years in LHCB at CERN where he developped a original method to study B semitauonic decays using the tau three prong decay mode.
